Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Shortlist, operated by ANS CARE SOLUTIONS LIMITED. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. What Shortlist is
Shortlist is an online-only, digital, self-service AI tool that helps you create job-search materials — resumes, cover letters, personal-brand visuals — and practise interviews. It is a creation and practice tool only. We deliver digital outputs through the browser; no physical goods are sold, produced or shipped, and there is no delivery, installation or on-site service.
2. What Shortlist is not
- Shortlist is not a recruitment agency, employment agency, staffing business, headhunter or employer.
- We do not match you to jobs, submit applications on your behalf, place candidates, or contact employers for you.
- We do not guarantee any interview, job offer, or outcome.
- We do not collect, hold or pay wages, and do not charge or collect placement fees, deposits or commissions.
- We do not provide legal, immigration, visa, tax, financial, medical or employment-rights advice. Interview feedback is practice, not a hiring decision. For professional advice, consult a qualified professional.
3. Truthfulness and no fabrication
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of everything in your applications. You must not use Shortlist to invent or misstate qualifications, credentials, employment history, education or references, to forge documents, or to create application materials impersonating another person. Outputs reframe the information you provide; they are your responsibility to verify and edit before use. See our Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Eligibility and minors
You must be at least 13 to use Shortlist. Users aged 13–17 must have consent from a parent or guardian. The service is aimed at people of legal working age. By using it, you confirm you meet these requirements.
5. Accounts and acceptable use
Keep your account credentials secure. Do not misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, scrape it, resell it, or use it for unlawful or discriminatory purposes. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.
6. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
- Paid plans (Applicant, Interview Pro) are recurring subscriptions billed in advance in US dollars via Stripe.
- Monthly allowances reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. There are no credits or stored balances.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime and keep access until the end of the paid period.

7. Your content and our content
You keep ownership of the inputs you provide and the outputs you generate for your own job search. We grant you a license to use Shortlist and its templates as described in the Content License. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service for you.
8. AI outputs
Outputs are AI-assisted and may be inaccurate or incomplete. They are suggestions, not guarantees. Review the AI Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant any particular result. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Subject to that, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these Terms or the service; material changes will be posted here. You may stop using the service at any time.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales, without affecting mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
